Letter to David

My letter to David

Dear David,
As much as I should not be carnal by using the article as a personal tool to hurt Kong Hee (which I am not), you should not make a judgement that this article was published with a personal vendetta.

Mrs Light publishes articles which state the truth and often with background evidence.  It is not a personal platform, which in fact many preachers turn the pulpit into.

I do have my own conviction about what is right and true. Be assured I do pray and seek wisdom from God.  Just because the article goes against your belief in Kong Hee doesn’t mean that this was intended to be personal.

Yes we all need forgiveness, from God.  Does Eng Han need forgiveness from Kong Hee? this is a matter one can tell only with insight into the many incidents between the two.  With respect, I do not think you have enough knowledge of what happened.  Hence your view of who needs to forgive who is based on incomplete facts.

Yours truly,
Mrs Light

Excerpt from the article, Kong said, “I felt pretty broken up that 1st week. He cross-examined me on Thursday, on Friday. Saturday I was at home ……. Pray that he cuts me even more, pray that his dagger is sharper? Pray that the public humiliation is even worse?” Click here to read the full article.

Eng Han cross-examined Kong on Thursday (Aug 14, 2014 for 15minutes) and Friday (Aug 15, 2014). No cutting on Thursday and Friday. The dagger that Kong mentioned only came out on Monday Aug 18, 2014 when Eng Han cross-examined Kong on Sun’s first-day-coverspecial Olympic, MPArefund of royalties and tithing.
My stand is Kong experience with Jesus coaxing him to release forgiveness is not true.

Email from a Pastor to me on September 2, 2015

Message Body:
Dear Mrs n Friends,
Thank you for posting the Kong Hee’s trials faithfully. However, with regards to your comments on the recent Kong Hee’s message on love and forgiveness I feel that you post the article with a personal agenda to hurt him unnecessary.

I am a pastor and a preacher and we do use personal experiences to convey Biblical truths at times. Paul used his personal experiences in his letters to the early church. I am a personal friend of Pastor Kong and had a prophetic dream regarding the current situation in CHC long before it happened in 2007. I have been praying for him and Sun for many years so that they would receive strength and grace from God to repent and move on with their ministry.

I know it is not easy for us to be objective when things like that happens to one of our brothers. I pray that you will receive wisdom from the Holy Spirit Himself while reporting in the case. Everyone needs forgiveness that includes Kong, Eng Hang, you and me.

God bless

God is love do you take Him for granted?

Dear Friends,

Regarding the CHC case, the DPP, and all the defendants have submitted their written submission to the court. I believe Kong Hee and his 4 inner circle of friends and Eng Han have read the prosecution’s submission. Oral submission is on September 10 and 11 at court 1.

Why is it that at this time, Kong Hee wants to use the pulpit to talk about the brother who cross-examined him?

God does not give us a pulpit and His word for our own personal agenda. I personally feel that Kong Hee was using the pulpit during Aug 8 and 9, 2015 to mesmerize the audience with his supposed private conversation with Jesus.

Kong Hee taught the audience to read the bible and pursuit God. When he comes to the 3rd point on Love, Kong said:

(The following is the transcript of Kong’s private conversation with Jesus.)
Last year I have a life transforming moment, concerning what love is all about. I have a life transforming moment when I was on the stand in court. Over 5 weeks, over 19 days, over 5 weeks. So that was a very long season.

The 1st week when I was in court, one of those that cross-examined me was someone from our church. He made some cutting remarks that broke me up then. Hurt me very deeply. Very hurtful with his words. For me, at that point, it was easier to face the prosecutor. Because the prosecutor was a stranger. I don’t know him, he doesn’t know me. So he can make all his allegations, but, well, he’s doing his job, I don’t know him, he’s not my friend. But this brother was somebody that I broke bread with. And the words from a friend can cut very deep.

I felt pretty broken up that 1st week. He cross-examined me on Thursday, on Friday. Saturday I was at home, and I went to my bathroom to take a shower. As the water was running, I was reflecting on the events of the week. And suddenly I heard Jesus speaking to me. He said Kong, you know what you have to do right? Ah, I said yes, Jesus. He said Kong, you gotta forgive him. I said, Jesus, I already forgive. I said Jesus, I’m a pastor. I’m a man of God. I’m a theologian. I’ve already forgiven. He said no you haven’t. He said you forgave him in your mind. You forgave him in your concept. But you never forgave him in your heart. And Jesus immediately reminded me, Matthew 18. You see, that’s why the Holy Spirit, He speaks through your scrip — er, your scriptures that you have read. And Jesus says in Matthew 18, that we must forgive a brother or a sister, from our heart. He said you got to emotionally let him go. Emotionally start to feel good about him. Wow.

And so I have a little struggle. But I’ve learnt a long time ago, it’s very foolish to struggle with God because you will never win. So I said alright Jesus, Jesus, I let him go emotionally. I will try to feel better. I let him go. And then He said prove it. I said, how do you want me to prove it? And right there and then, in my shower, Jesus reminded me of Matthew 5. He says you must bless your enemies and pray for those who have spitefully used you and have even cursed you. You pray and you bless. I said wow, Jesus, how do you want me to pray? Pray that he cuts me even more, pray that his dagger is sharper? Pray that the public humiliation is even worse? How do you want me to bless him? I said God, he has publicly humiliated me. He says, how do you want me to bless you? I said oh that’s easy. I know how I want you to bless me. Jesus, bless my life, bless my family. Jesus I’m in a financial difficulty, Jesus prosper me. Let me reap whatever I have sown over the years. Give me a harvest. Oh Jesus, heal all the sick people I know in my family. Jesus, give me a greater anointing. And so I was going on and on, oh very easy, Jesus I know how I want to be blessed. I was very happy. And then Jesus pulled the punch line — now I want you to pray and bless him the same way you want me to bless you. Wow. Suddenly I felt like I was standing beside a huge mountain that I couldn’t move. And with every fibre of my being, I forced myself to say those words. I said oh God, bless my brother with an amazing life. Bless he and his wife and his family. He must be going through a lot of worries and pain. God, take it all away. Let there be peace. Oh, he must be struggling financially. God, prosper him. Make him the head and not the tail. Whatever church he’s in right now, let the anointing of God come upon him so that he can serve in a greater way. Jesus, I pray your destiny for him come in its fullness. Make him the man for the hour.

And I found myself praying, and it was so hard at first, and it got easier, and soon I was in tears. I started to cry until the water from my eyes and the water from the shower, they are one.

But something very deep and dramatic happened to me that day. Dramatically transformed me, because I went back to court on Monday, and I had to face him because he still continued to cross-examine me. Suddenly I felt something I never felt before. I felt there was no animosity, I felt there was no anger or hatred. I find myself even sitting in the court praying for him. Loving him. And I found myself throughout the rest of the court trial, until last May, I found myself many moments in court, praying for him, his wife, his family. Praying God, You be good to him. I learnt that there’s no limit to love, therefore there must be no limit to our forgiveness. This is the paradigm. Come on, go ahead and give the Lord a big hand.

Did Kong wrap himself in the message to move your emotions? I beseech you to exercise your discernment. I didn’t transcribe the whole sermon. I believe CHC will upload Kong’s sermons by this week. For the audience who had attended August 8 and 9 weekend service, would you remember you need to abide in God’s word? Would you love Christ because God is love and Jesus died on the cross for you and me?

Would you feel God is love because you felt sorry for Kong Hee?

Who was Sun’s creative director?

Is the church still funding Kong, Sun and Mark to US for mission work?

Creative Director

Kong’s EIC of August 2014

Question: Who is Mark Kwan?

Kong: Mark Kwan was the creative director for Sun. He’s a Singaporean and he was on Sun’s team as Sun’s own local… I mean, Asian creative director.

Kong cross-examined by Chew on August 18, 2014

Chew: And here now you have Mark Kwan, who is a key member of your team, right?

Kong: Yes, your Honour.

Chew: Could you explain what is Mark Kwan’s role?

Kong: He was the creative director from Xtron.

Chew: What does he do as creative director?

Kong: He will be in charge of helping with the songs, choosing of the songs, the production of the songs and to liaise with the Americans on the actual music production side for Xtron.

Recount of Kong Hee cross-examined by DPP on Aug 27, 2014

Kong wrote to Justin Herz (Dated 4 Dec 2008)

“The Singapore employer has paid the team directly in 2008, the only way to capture the salaries under JH Music for 2008 is for the Singapore employer to deposit the team’s total salaries for the year into JH music’s account and JH Music pays the team as a one-time consultancy fee in December.“

Justin Herz replied to Kong

“Going forward for green card eligibility we should have team paid by a US company.”

Kong wrote to Serina Wee

“Na Wee,

Wahju is so unstable. Can we do it without going through him?”

“Can you call me in 15mins?”

DPP: If you did go through Wahju for this paying of staff, it was not Wahju’s own money that was going to be used to pay the staff. Correct?

Kong: No, it’s not.

DPP: Where was the money going to come from to pay the staff?

Kong: Your Honour, the money could come from the church, if we are paying for church staff, or the money could come from MPA, if MPA is used to pay for the staff. I can’t really remember, your Honour. Serina would remember this better.

DPP: If Wahju is not the one actually paying but money is going to be provided to him from the church or from the MPA to pay the staff, isn’t that just channelling these funds through Wahju?

Kong: Your Honour, the words “channelling” and “conduit” sound very sinister. The context of this email in the earlier emails in this thread shows that there was a conversation that has been ongoing with the auditors, the partners of Baker Tilly in the US, and even then, the discussion was do we pay through JH Music? Is JH Music registered with the US taxing authorities for payroll? So I don’t think at that point in time our mindset was even if we have done it through JH Music, which eventually I believe we did, JH Music was a conduit or a channel. It’s more likely that JH Music provided payroll service for the team. So if we had used UA (Ultimate Asset), then UA would provide payroll service for the team.

Things to ponder

The team refers to the group of mission workers staying in LA. If the salary in 2008 has been already paid to the team, who is the “Singapore employer” in the email which Kong was referring to decide to pay the team the total salaries for the year again?

If the “Singapore employer” pays the total salaries for the year in JH music’s account in December, isn’t the team collecting the salary again or perhaps the “Singapore employer” is declaring one-year bonus for the mission work?

How about the rental? Where was the money going to come from to pay for the USD $20,000 rental? (Edited on 14/7/2015 - 4 tenants from CHC, Mark Kwan and Sun.)

The Sun is hot!

I’ve not been to his Sentosa Cove house so I can’t comment on his temporary home on whether the furnishings are grand and luxurious.

But what I can say is that for most of us, including Eng Han and JJ, only knew that he owns a unit in Sentosa Cove after reading an article about it published on the newspaper. I couldn’t remember which year the news was published, either in 2011 or 2012.

When someone in CHC clarified this with us, we were told that Kong only invested $200k in the Sentosa Cove unit. On hindsight, we were so blinded by the spirit (not the Holy Spirit).

Kong’s Facebook post in July 2, 2015
Kong Hee says, “I am particularly surprised that the “investor” reportedly said he had “the impression that the owner sure knows how to enjoy the high life”

See the photos that Kong had tweeted and look at how they celebrated Sun’s birthday this year.

Do not get me wrong here. If God gives me wealth and possessions and the ability to enjoy them, I believe it is a gift of God and there is nothing to be ashamed of.

I’m in agreement with the reporter, that the owner sure knows how to enjoy the high life. Perhaps we should bear in mind that different people have different measurements of ‘high life’. If partying in a yacht, living in a penthouse and checking-in at the first-class lounge are not considered the ‘high life’, wouldn’t this lifestyle be the norm for everyone then?

According to the Cambridge Dictionaries Online, the ‘high life’ refers to an exciting way of living in which rich and successful people enjoy themselves by spending a lot of time and money in fashionable places.

[ I forgotten to add the shopping trip in Barneys New York (Barneys is a luxury department store in New York)]

Another statement posted by Kong on his Facebook.
Kong Hee says, “Lastly, I am shocked by the alleged offer made by the agent to take the “investor” out on the owner’s “yacht”.  I do not, and have never owned a yacht.  As far as I am aware, the co-owner, who does not live in Singapore, also does not own a yacht.”

Coincidentally, I know the agent personally. Regarding the statement about the agent sweetening the deal with an offer of a yacht ride, is the agent lying that the owner owns the yacht?

I believe what Kong said, he may not own a yacht, and the co-owner who is Hanafi does not own a yacht too. His sentence may technically be right, but I hope he is not speaking the half-truth again.

Who owns the yacht then?
